Adventure Quest World

Adventure Quest World refers to the BattleOn Battle Cards game, a physical collectible card game produced by Artix Entertainment based on their free-to-play browser MMORPG AdventureQuest Worlds. The card game distills the MMORPG's fantasy combat into a fast, humorous two-to-four player format using a single deck of 110 cards. Players equip armor, pets, and weapons while stacking creative combinations, such as attacking while riding a gorrillaphant atop a dragon atop a frogzard. Opponents can counter with defensive magic, teleportation spells, and reality-bending cards. The base set shipped in a distinctive pyramid-shaped box and included exclusive in-game codes to unlock the Card Clasher class in AdventureQuest Worlds. An updated version of the product was announced in 2018. Published by the same studio behind the original web RPG, this is one of the few CCGs to bridge browser-era online gaming with physical tabletop play. Limited documentation of early print runs survives, which is part of why it belongs in the uncharted archive.
