Alice x Cross TCG is a Japanese collectible card game developed and published by Bushiroad, with its starter packs released on March 21, 2009. The game was explicitly designed for a female audience and was marketed as the first CCG for girls to be developed by a female producer in Japanese CCG history. It is divided into two structural sides: Side Queen, featuring characters from otome games (games with a female player character), and Side Joker, featuring characters from boys' love visual novels. Licensed franchises in Side Queen included Hakuoki, Hiiro no Kakera, Vitamin X, and D.C. Girl's Symphony, while Side Joker drew from Togainu no Chi, Kichiku Megane, and Junjou Romantica. Gameplay centers on accumulating Love Points between a player's main character and partner characters, with the first player to reach 100 percent winning the match. The accessible rule structure was intended to attract players who had no prior experience with CCGs. Additional expansions followed into 2010 and 2011.
