Berserk TCG (Russia) is a collectible card game published in November 2003 by Fantasy World, a company founded specifically to develop and release it. The company later merged with a competitor to form Hobby World in 2010. The game is set in the original fantasy world of Laar, with no connection to the Miura manga of the same name. Two players assume wizard roles called Ungars, deploying 30 to 50 card decks on a 6-by-5 grid battlefield where combat is resolved through dice rolls and special abilities. The design concept predates its publication, with work reportedly beginning as early as 1995 after exposure to Magic: The Gathering. The game became the first Russian-produced CCG to reach market, and grew to become the dominant collectible card game in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, reaching an estimated 40,000 active players at its 2008 to 2009 peak. By 2011 the game had expanded to 16 sets and more than 4,000 unique cards. After going dormant in October 2015, the game was relaunched in April 2023 with updated mechanics.
