Champions is a fantasy combat collectible card game published in the United Kingdom by F.X. Schmid and Gibsons Games, with the Gibsons editions appearing in 1995. The game was released in two distinct themed sets: Monster Wars and Medieval Battle. In each set, cards were divided into two categories: character cards (Monsters or Warriors) and special cards (Spells or Weapons). The Medieval Battle edition, subtitled The Game of Heroes and Weapons, featured Warrior character types spanning six cultural archetypes including Clansman, Knight, Nomad, Samurai, Saracen, and Viking, as well as Monster cards and a range of weapon and armor specials. Each card displayed Attack and Defence statistics that governed combat resolution. The checklist for the Medieval Battle edition documents approximately 45 unique cards distributed through boxed subsets and booster packs. The game is out of print and little-documented outside specialist collector checklists.
