Eye Shield 21

Eye Shield 21 is a Japanese collectible card game published by Konami in June 2005, based on the American football manga and anime series of the same name. The manga was written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and the anime adaptation premiered on TV Tokyo in April 2005, making the card game a same-year tie-in. Cards carried designations indicating rarity and release wave, such as common, rare, and tournament designations, and depicted characters from the Deimon Devil Bats team and their rivals. The game was published exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and was never localized. Multiple booster sets were released alongside the ongoing anime broadcast, following a pattern common to Konami's licensed manga and anime CCG lines of that era.
