Friesematenten is a German-language collectible card game first self-published in 1998 by Friedemann Friese through his own imprint 2F-Spiele, then rereleased in a streamlined commercial edition by Amigo Spiel in 2011. The title is a playful portmanteau built around the designer's name, consistent with Friese's longstanding practice of branding much of his work around the letter F.
Thematically the game casts players as industry moguls competing for economic dominance and social acceptance in a system rife with envy and corruption. Players build an economy of resource cards and convert those resources into victory points, aiming to be the first to accumulate 40 points. The 1998 edition was sold in small booster-style packets, giving it the outward form of a CCG, though the underlying mechanism is an auction and hand-management game rather than a deck-building combat system. The Amigo edition simplified the marker-management subsystem and was accompanied by an expansion released at Essen 2010. Language dependency makes the game inaccessible to non-German readers.
