Gundam Combat

Gundam Combat is a Japanese collectible card game published by Bandai in December 1996, drawing on the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. It predates Bandai's more extensively documented Gundam War CCG by approximately two years and belongs to the early wave of anime-licensed card games that emerged in Japan during the mid-1990s. Gundam Combat is distinct from the Gundam M.S. War Trading Card Game, another Bandai product, and from the Carddass vending-machine card lines that Bandai also produced concurrently. Specific set lists, card counts, and rulebooks for Gundam Combat are not well preserved in accessible online archives, and the game receives almost no coverage outside Japanese-language collector communities. As one of the earliest standalone Gundam CCG products, it holds historical interest within the franchise's merchandising timeline. The game is out of print, and surviving copies appear sporadically on Japanese secondary markets.
