Hatalom Kartyai Kartyajatek (Cards of Power) is a Hungarian collectible card game published by Beholder Kft. in September 1995, making it the first and longest-running CCG produced in Hungary. The game is set in Tulelok Foldje (Survivors' Land), a fantasy world that Beholder had previously developed as a play-by-mail RPG. Players take on the roles of wizards who battle by summoning creatures, casting spells, and deploying artifacts, with the goal of reducing an opponent's starting life total of twenty to zero. The original 1995 base set contained 349 distinct card types divided into common, uncommon, and rare rarities. The game proved a domestic success and expanded steadily: by 2010 Beholder had published nine editions of the starter pack, twenty-five booster packs, and a large number of mini-expansions, ultimately generating roughly 6,000 unique card designs. A Czech edition was also published under the title Wastelands. Expansions continued well into the 2020s, with the set Roxat cehei noted as a 2022 release, demonstrating unusual longevity for a regional CCG.
