Herobits is a science-fiction collectible card game published by Herobits Corp. in June 2009 in the United States. The game is set on a devastated future Earth where mutated creatures roam free and mechanical monsters called Reapers serve a malevolent entity known as the Machine, while armored warriors called Herobits defend the last human enclave of Arcadia. Rather than requiring ongoing booster pack purchases, each Herobits deck was sold as a complete, self-contained set of 50 cards built around a single named hero character. New character decks were scheduled for release at two-to-three-month intervals, providing a different collection model from traditional CCGs. All card artwork was hand-drawn, with artists from around the world each contributing their own interpretation of the assigned Herobit character. Known early characters include Ulrika Vidar, depicted wielding ancient weapons in futuristic settings. The complete series count and total print run are not well documented, and the game did not achieve wide distribution.
