Hull Breach is a strategic space-combat card game published in 2011 by NSB Games, Inc. (Not-So-Broken Games), a small studio based in Rhode Island. Players each command an advanced space station belonging to one of several competing factions and battle rivals through fleet engagements, marine boarding actions, and tactical events. Each deck consists of a Station card, ships, modules, marines, technological breakthroughs, and event and tactic cards. Combat outcomes are resolved with ten-sided dice, with armor ratings providing defensive thresholds. The game was released in a limited alpha run in 2011 and then relaunched in 2014 as two standalone box sets: Corporate Wars, featuring the Xeros Orbital Shipyards, Anaheim Manufacturing, and Bank of the Galaxy factions, and Loyalty and Vigilance, adding three further factions. Unlike a traditional CCG, Hull Breach uses fixed, non-randomized expansions so that all cards within a set are known quantities, making it closer to a living card game in practice. A second major expansion, In Defiance of Dictators, followed via Kickstarter. Two-player matches typically conclude in around twenty minutes.
