HumanKind is a collectible card game developed and published by Salo S.A. in Chile, with cards produced from roughly 2005 onward and distributed across several Latin American countries. The game depicts an underground struggle between four factions competing for dominance over a near-future world: the Corporation, which seeks to impose order; Acracia, which embraces anarchic chaos; Quimera (Chimera), which advocates coexistence between Deviants and ordinary humans; and the Abismales (Abyssmals), who champion their own kind above all others. The game was designed by Nicolas Fierro and the card art was created to match its dystopian aesthetic. Publication ended when Salo S.A. declared bankruptcy in 2010. The franchise was later revived as a digital card game titled Humankind: The Awakening, released for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, which reintroduced the factions and setting to a new audience. The physical card game remains out of print and is primarily encountered today in the Latin American secondary market.
