Jakub Wędrowycz - FKGK

Jakub Wedrowycz FKGK (Fabularyzowana Kolekcjonerska Gra Karciana, meaning Narrative Collectible Card Game) is a Polish collectible card game released in July 2011 by Valkiria Network under license from Fabryka Slow publishing house. The game is based on the popular literary character Jakub Wedrowycz, an eccentric amateur exorcist from the rural fantasy stories written by Andrzej Pilipiuk. Designed by Artur Machlowski with illustrations by Andrzej Laski, the game draws particularly on the 2011 comic Dobic dziada. The starter set contains 60 cards including one Hero card, six Enemy cards, six Location cards, and 47 supporting cards; smaller expansion packs of 9 and 20 cards were also produced. Gameplay combines deck construction with a narrative structure where players earn Fame Points by defeating enemies, with poker-hand combinations triggering special combo effects and a six-sided die required. From December 2011 the game was also distributed by CD Projekt as part of their Gry bez pradu (Analog Games) range. A board game adaptation was announced but never materialized. The game sparked tournament play across Poland through at least 2015.
