Kakkones is an Italian collectible card game published by Topps Europe in May 2008, drawing on the irreverent gross-out art style of the Garbage Pail Kids franchise. Marketed under the tagline "The Most Disgusting Trading Card Game," it distinguished itself from the parent GPK line by issuing proper game cards rather than the stickers that characterize most GPK products. The base set contains 96 cards with a green border, each carrying a single name rather than the a/b pair format used in mainstream GPK sets. A binder was produced to accompany the set, with basic game instructions printed on the inside back cover. A Series 2 followed in approximately February-March 2009, released by Topps Europe Ltd. (Merlin Collections) and printed in Italy. An English-language version called Sgorbions drew on much of the same artwork. The game was distributed primarily through Italian channels and never achieved the international recognition of the core Garbage Pail Kids brand.
