Lycee TCG is a Japanese collectible card game developed by Silver Blitz and initially published by Broccoli, with its first sets appearing in January 2005. The name derives from the French word for high school, and the game draws its card roster from a broad range of Japanese visual novel and bishoujo games, including Kanon, AIR, To Heart, Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, Comic Party, and the Rance series, among others. Gameplay centers on a sixty-card deck format in which players attack with character cards to deplete the opponent's deck. Cards are divided into four types (character, event, item, and area) and five elemental alignments (snow, moon, flower, void, and sun). Five rarity tiers exist, with the top-tier Lucky cards selling for up to 9,800 yen on the Japanese secondary market. The franchise later transitioned to the Lycee Overture sub-brand under Movic. The game has remained technically in print through these successive publishing arrangements.
