The Medabots Trading Card Game (known in Japan as the Medarot Official Card Game) is the second physical card game in the Medarot franchise, co-published in Japan by Imagineer and Bandai in 2000. In the United States, it was distributed by Upper Deck Entertainment under the localized Medabots branding. Two players compete by placing Medabot cards and Medafighter cards on the battlefield: when a Medabot is defeated, the controlling player loses hit points, and victory goes to whoever drops the opponent's HP to zero or forces them to exhaust their deck. Each player begins with 20 HP and builds a 30-card deck with a maximum of three copies of any single card. Starter decks contained 31 cards, including a holofoil Metabee as the showcase rare, while booster packs contained five random cards. The game was directly tied to the Medabots anime that aired internationally in the early 2000s.
