Monster Traveller is a Japanese collectible card game published by Taito in March 2002. Taito, one of Japan's most storied arcade and video game companies, produced this card game as a tie-in to its Monster Traveller Game Boy video game, following the then-common practice of releasing physical card game counterparts to portable RPG properties. The Juggernauts CCG list records the game as video-game based with a Sand-planet edition among its releases, suggesting the game's setting involved a distinctive alien or desert-world theme consistent with Taito's science-fiction and adventure game catalog. The card game appears to have had a limited print run targeted at the Game Boy game's audience in Japan. Outside of collector inventory records and the Japanese CCG tracking community, virtually no English-language documentation of this game survives, which is exactly the kind of obscurity the Uncharted archive is built to address.
