My Earth is a Japanese educational collectible card game published by Maruzen in August 2008. The game was developed by My Earth Projects LLC, a joint venture between Dai Nippon Printing and two Keio University students, with the explicit goal of teaching elementary and junior high school students about environmental issues through voluntary, enjoyable play rather than rote memorization. Players build custom decks and create combinations of cards drawn from Japan's ecosystems, with the card game structure providing a scalable and variable gameplay experience that supports diverse strategies. As of June 2009, the game had sold 2.8 million cards. A second card set was planned for release before the end of 2009. The game was piloted in school settings, with at least one Yokohama elementary school adopting it as a tool for environmental education. My Earth is a rare example of a CCG designed primarily as an educational vehicle, using the deck-construction and collectibility mechanics of the format to drive repeated engagement with environmental subject matter.
