Mythic Wars is a collectible card game published by Excalibre Games, a long-established American publisher best known for historical wargames including award-winners Ironclads and Wings. The company launched Mythic Wars as its first fantasy card title via a Kickstarter campaign that opened on October 18, 2016. The base set, Mythic Wars: Clash of the Gods, supports two to eight players and features 78 cards representing 72 gods and goddesses drawn from six world mythologies including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Japanese pantheons. Gameplay blends deck-building with dice-driven combat: each player assembles a faction of deities and battles to control the universe. Two expansions followed the base set: Cthulhu Rises, which added 16 cards inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, and Nemesis, which introduced Battleground and Intervention card types.
