Playoff Hockey, issued under the full title Playoff One-On-One Hockey Challenge, is an American collectible card game produced by the Playoff Corporation in 1995. The set contained 330 cards in four rarity tiers (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra Rare) and featured top NHL players of the 1995-96 season. Two-player starter decks of 50 cards, packaged with three dice and a rulebook, retailed for $9.95, and additional booster packs were available. Gameplay used on-card statistics to simulate head-to-head hockey matchups. The Playoff Corporation was already a recognized name in the licensed sports card market, and this title represented the company's entry into the CCG segment during the mid-1990s peak of the format. The game did not generate enough traction to spawn additional seasons or expansions, and it is now collected primarily as a curiosity of sports CCG history.
