Rat-Man: il gioco senza nome [IT]

Rat-Man: Il Gioco Senza Nome (The Game Without a Name) is an Italian collectible card game published by Panini via its Pan Distribuzione arm, in collaboration with the animation studio Stranemani. It was unveiled at Lucca Comics and Games in November 2007 and launched into organised league play in 2008. The game is based on the comic character Rat-Man, created by Leo Ortolani, a satirical superhero whose adventures take place in the so-called Citta Senza Nome (Nameless City). The title of the card game is a deliberate nod to that running joke from the comics. Each player chooses one of four character decks centred on Rat-Man, Brakko, the Chameleon, or the Jester, then navigates the Nameless City on a vertical game board, completing missions using Equipment and Gag cards. The base set included character cards, equipment, gag actions, mission cards, and a city map. The first expansion added 240 cards split into 60 character, 80 equipment, and 100 gag entries. Artwork for the cards was drawn from the animated series rather than the original comics. Designers Rinaldo Maramotti and Matteo Gianesini built the system for two to four players.
