Subbuteo Squads was a collectible card game produced by Hasbro in 1995 and 1996, capitalizing on the company's ownership of the famous Subbuteo table football brand and its licensing agreement with the English FA Premier League. The game was designed to extend Subbuteo's pitch-based play with a card layer: players purchased 45-card Squad decks (40 player cards and 5 incident cards, plus printed rules) and could expand their roster with foil booster packs of eight cards. A deluxe Pro Edition added manager cards, ground cards, and additional incident cards, with two halves of a miniature Subbuteo Premiership ball included as a playing component. Cards covered English Premiership squads from the 1995/96 and 1996/97 seasons and notably included a rookie card of David Beckham. Despite the strong brand pedigree and broad retail backing, the game failed to gain traction and unsold boxed product remained on the secondary market for years. It is now a collectors' curiosity rather than a played game.
