Tekken Card Tournament was a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, launched on iOS and Android platforms in April 2013. The game adapted the Tekken fighting franchise into a turn-based card battle format, giving each player a deck of up to fifteen cards. On each turn, a player chose one of three actions: Focus (draw a card, up to a maximum of five in hand), Strike (attack using all held cards), or Block (counter up to two of the opponent's cards). The game accumulated 20 million registered players over its lifespan, generating 200 million battles before server shutdown on April 4, 2017. In 2015, Bandai Namco partnered with printing company FabZat to produce a line of more than 190 physical rare cards featuring QR codes, allowing players to scan them into the digital game. The physical component represents the game's primary collectible card dimension.
