Warcards [ROU]

Warcards is a Romanian-language fantasy collectible card game designed by Cristian Bodea and published by SC Patiart SRL, making it the first domestically produced commercial CCG in Romania. The game drew clear inspiration from Magic: The Gathering while charting its own course with three distinct deck-construction archetypes: Kings, Races, and Warbands. Three booster sets were published alongside separately sold Mercenary cards. A small but active tournament scene grew around the game, with events held in major Romanian cities. Development ceased in 2007. A follow-up English-language digital version was reportedly in planning by the same team but was ultimately abandoned. Warcards remains a landmark in the history of Eastern European card gaming despite surviving only a short active lifespan.
