Zoids Card Colosseum is a Japan-exclusive trading card game released by Taito and Tomy in November 2005, developed in direct conjunction with a Taito Type X arcade cabinet of the same name. The arcade machine accepted physical trading cards as input, scanning them to deploy Zoids units in a rock-paper-scissors-style combat system, creating an early example of the hybrid arcade-card game format that became common in Japanese arcades during the mid-2000s. Cards were sold in two volumes, each containing Zoids units drawn from multiple anime series in the franchise, including Zoids: Fuzors and Zoids: Genesis, as well as pilot cards and command cards that modified battle outcomes. The reliance on a specific arcade cabinet made the physical card game dependent on access to that hardware, limiting its reach outside Japan and contributing to its obscurity once the arcade machines were retired. Surviving cards remain of interest to Zoids collectors.
